Sealing Stone

Another service we provide is sealing stone in order to make it waterproof. We recently sealed a deck and driveway with Splash Proof, which uses nano technology, for the Diaco’s, on Manasota Key.

Before sealing, the water just soaks into the tile and down below.

After sealing, the tile becomes hydrophobic and the water beads on the surface. This, in addition to keeping the stone from getting wet, moldy, and wearing away, makes it self-cleaning. So the water beads up, collecting dust, dirt, and pollen, washing it down the drain. In the below picture, you can see some of the water beads have a yellow dot, which is pollen that is being washed away.
