Recent Tile Jobs!

[In case you happened to come by the store and see that we were on vacation… Hannah and I are back now from our little visit to Pennsylvania. And yes, we had a great time! We waded in a creek, helped on an organic farm, sang on a porch in a storm, went on a bike ride, learned a new game called “pass the shoe”, went on two picnics, visited Longwood Gardens (Carissa), laughed, talked, and generally had a fun, relaxing time.]

And now that we are back… here are a few pictures of what the Mann Tile team has been working on lately!

Here’s Ed, prepping a shower floor for John and Maddie in Englewood, FL. As you can see, the shower wall tile has already been installed.

And here’s a better view of the tile on the shower walls, waiting to be grouted. This shower is done with the “brick-stack” pattern. (In case you are wondering, the little red and white things are “spacers”, used to keep the grout joints even. Since it’s vertical, the tiles might slide down slightly otherwise as they dry and cause the grout joints to be uneven.) Also, notice the listello (decorative band) made of rocks!

And tada! The shower is finished! The shower floor is made up of the same rocks that you saw in the previous picture in the listello. We sealed them so they are easier to clean. In this shower, we also installed a “niche” (over on the top right of this picture) for holding shampoo and other shower needs.

Remember that greenish outdoor tile we had for sale a few months ago? Well, Don took advantage of the sale and here it is–installed on a porch in Port Charlotte, FL. (I personally like this picture–one, because I like anything green, and two, because of the door mat they have. In case you didn’t catch it, it says “Hi. I’m Mat.”)

And here is the other tile we had for sale–installed on a floor in Port Charlotte, FL. This tile is called “Ice cream: Rocky Road”… Hannah and I named it that because it looks creamy and chocolatey. 🙂

A gorgeous botticino marble shower, installed for Ultimate Upgrades and complete with corner seat and diamond shaped deco.

A shower tile installation in progress–this one is located in Longboat Key, FL.

Really fascinating weave pattern on the shower floor… this one is like an optical illusion. If you scroll up and down, it looks like it’s zooming in and out. 😀

And here’s a classy backsplash we tiled in Punta Gorda, FL for Sandstar Homes .

There you have it! A few of the jobs we’ve been installing recently. Stay tuned–there are more jobs in progress! And, as always, feel free to comment. 🙂
